Welcome to the World of Paper Scissors Co.

Paper Scissors Co. is founded by two cousin sisters with a passion for design, Priyanka (User Experience Researcher) and Sonali (Visual Communications Designer).

Our journey started as we traveled around the world, collecting minimal and thoughtfully designed paper products, and often wondering why we couldn't find such products in India? Where are those cute, well-designed, and high-quality ‘just because’ or ‘thinking of you’ gifts? Where are the cute greeting cards for Raksha Bandhan or Diwali?

So, we decided to take matters (and paper and scissors) into our own hands and started Paper Scissors Co. We’ve started with the basic products, but our goal is to create cute gifts for all our cultural moments really soon.

"I’ve been drawn to arts, crafts, and design for as long as I can remember. That love for creating led me through architecture college, design school, and my career as a User Experience Researcher at The Sound HQ and Pinterest. Creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do but now, I’ve decided to put it front and center. Paper Scissors Co. is my way of exploring creativity while sharing it with you. I hope our products help bring a little more joy, fun, and thoughtful connection into your world."

“The best moments in life come with a story. Growing up, I loved celebrating those stories through handwritten cards and handcrafted gifts to pamper my loved ones. Over time, as the world shifted to digital birthday messages (and now, AI-generated notes), the magic of celebrating stories in thoughtful, tangible ways began to fade. As a Visual Communicator, I’ve spent years building brands from the ground up, but I found myself craving something more soulful and hands-on. With this Paper Scissors Co., I want to bring back the love of celebrating life’s little stories in ways that feel sweeter, sillier and joyful.”

We know making paper products in a climate crisis can feel like a contradiction. That’s why we use recycled & sustainable materials in most of what we create. Each piece is carefully illustrated and designed with love, so we hope you use it, save it, share it, repurpose it, recycle it & give it the long life it deserves.

Most of our products use recycled or sustainable paper and we're working on better alternatives for the little plastic packaging we have to use. If you have ideas to make our products or packaging more eco-friendly, please let us know.
